NATHAN LANE will re-join MATTHEW BRODERICK and the cast of the Broadway smash-hit IT’S ONLY A PLAY on Tuesday 3/31. Before doing so, Mr. Lane attended a performance of the play currently starring MARTIN SHORT.
It’s the time of year where Broadway Shows raise money for BROADWAY CARES EQUITY FIGHTS AIDS. After the curtain call, the cast remains on stage and implores the audience to donate to the worthwhile organization by buying signed posters and opportunities to take a selfie with the cast.
Mr. Lane raised his hand and magnanmously offered $4,000 for the opportunity to take home a selfie which would also include Tony Award winner STOCKARD CHANNING and Academy Award winner F. MURRAY ABRAHAM.
Unfortunately (or perhaps not) for him he was outbid by a generous fan. Had he won, the selfie might have looked something like this…without RUPERT GRINT, KATIE FINNERAN replacing MEGAN MULLALY and adding MARTIN SHORT…
